Let us have the courage to die daily to ourselves, in the little unseen ways of inner self not so much to the outer world...You are the potter, we are Your little ball of clay, it is a very messy business that's for sure Lord but make us not so much into beautiful ornate vessels, that can only be admired from afare...but functional ones, that can be grasped by your hand at anytime, dependable to Your heart, to be used as You so will.

Separation, Holy darkness, were to be your only consolation... One heart joined so faithfully to her Lords heart, how you yearned for Him ... Indeed, Lady Poverty was your faithful companion, as too she accompanied Jesus into the garden of Gethsemane and from Her poured total consolation, indeed Her Holy gift. You held firm to the gentle whispers that were given so sparingly but so assuredly long ago...These made you truly whole, truly resolute at all cost to bring forth our Good Gods purest Will. In doing so, you became a Holy Mother to the many , whilst here on earth... But you now continue, long after your passing into Jesus arms to feed the many hungry souls through spiritual nourishment, throughout all of time. We indeed love you dear Mother! for all you were and for all that it has pleased our Good God, that you have now become.xxx

God is not remote, He has such a needful, longing heart for each and everyone of us...Always waiting for us to open wide our searching hearts to Him. We have great need of You Heavenly Father. Good God, You are all gentleness,all loving,all compassion, all forgiving...
O gentle, gentle hand of our Good God, You are Spirit,You are Truth.

Quite recently I was asked to help someone I could do little for...
This person was losing their battle for life. For some reason this person has touched this heart in a very profound way. We are well used to caring for the
dying but the question we have been left with, we have to do something more...
Why is it Lord that deep within us what we do never feels enough?
In the meditations of Mother Teresa we recently read, "Jesus gave
Himself totally,but for Him that would never be enough...He wanted to give
something more- to give us the chance to give to Him.
So He made Himself the needy one, so we could give to Him"...
Sometimes we struggle to know how we can indeed give in situations
where there appears no apparent way to help, especially where all
hope has gone...It came to this heart
Prayer, that is the most precious, strongest gift of love we
have for another. It may appear at first to be too small, too silent
too simple a gift but in this heart we have a very quiet gentle but
all consuming confidence that this is the greatest gift we can give
for another especially when there seems no apparent hope.

What could we do? O.k Lord, if your sure you want a cake you shall have one, despite us being bang slame in the middle of Lent!
However, you will have to provide the miracle... Not in the provision of the ingredients, because Mr Tesco can do that... but in getting a good end result...Yep, getting the sponge to rise!

Well we are ploughing through Lent and Wow! what a time it has been to date. We have been told by many of the saints, reading their lives, that the desert can be a place of great growth. I think it was St John of the Cross who suggested it is a place a heart is taken to, be pulled closer still to God. One is stripped of any distractions for spiritual growth. Well not being known for my great love of pain, it has been the Lords wisdom alone to leave me in this place and for a very long time I may add! Not complaining just stating facts Lord... Yes this little heart has seemed to draw little comfort or consolation from anyone or indeed anything until it is now at the point honestly saying, "As God pleases as God Wills"... This morning I noticed a little butterfly, so rushing for my camera, returned to find no trace. And in the corner of the garden, not making a big statement in a very barren place came these little flowers of total beauty. If that was not enough, also I was inspired as I opened my bible to Proverbs 8. v. 22-31. Take a look it will really make the darkest place seem bright even if only for one moment in time. Thaaaaaaaaaaaaank You Lord for just being Yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooou xxx

Moses was given the mission to guide Gods people out of Egypt where they were being persecuted...
He was told to throw his staff to the ground, where it was transformed into a serpent, showing the power of Almighty God!
Moses, recoiled from it in fear...
God chose this simple staff of wood, this simple man of of speech, to become the way by which He would lead His people out.
Serpents would indeed be devoured by it, all evil would be over powered and brought low by it...
God in His love for Israel provided manna, gave springs of life giving water, as He led His people on, on towards His holy city...Jerusalem.

Now in this day of the Lord, the staff indeed leads Gods people on...
Not a serpent, but a Cross, as Moses, we all still recoil from it...
God commanded Moses, "Pick it up by its tail"... To embrace the staff, is to be transformed by it. The Holy Staff, Gods alter of love...
From it a beaten, bleeding heart hangs seemingly lifeless from it.
But look closer still, a light comes forth, provision of strength is given in manna from Gods right hand, life giving water flows from within it, to lead His people on.

Take no bread, no purse, no spare tunic, for your journey...only embrace and hold up the Holy Staff of God...
His Risen Son, in Body , in Blood, in Word, leading Gods people ever on to the eternal city ... Jerusalem.
