We are only truly alive, when we are God filled:

We are only fully alive when we are God filled...
I recently read this in the "Inner castle", (St Teresa of Avila).
"To be God filled, is to be fully human" what could that mean?
Well the only route I believe to getting God filled, is by putting in the time! "Come close to God and He shall come close to you".I love pondering Holy Scripture, so much so, that it truly is my greatest joy, its where I go to be with my Lord and He never fails to come be with me. However, in saying that, I am fully aware that I am not the first one to make this movement but sometimes our Jesus just allows me to think that to get me there! (t.u.Lord).
Its where I go to experience the very heart beat of our Heavenly Father and what a most tender loving heart has He!
Its where I go to feel the movement of the Holy Spirit, gently opening my understanding to a totally new way of seeing the Gospels, which by the way, can only truly be understood, if they are lived out! Yep, Holy Scripture is there for the taking, there for the living but remember first we must take off our shoes and put in some soul...Then put them back on and wear out some leather in living them. I can best describe this in the story of Mary & Martha...I always considered these souls to be two seperate beings, one sitting at the feet of our Lord, the other rushing around and complaining as she went about her sister. By this seperation of the two I see that I was making a judgement and therefore a preference...which indeed was wrong. If we stop to think about it, is this just not what we do within ourselves? Yes to sit at Jesus feet is indeed the greater part but also we are torn and sometimes a little hurt when we have to go attend to the practicalities of hosting such a special guest...Yes, we see it as taking us away from our Jesus but in truth He thirsts, He indeed hungers, He asks for a place to shelter and dear old Martha provides all these things as do we when we go out to meet Him in the needs of others. Yes, Jesus loved them both but we need always to return when our duty is done to sit at Jesus feet.To listen to His whipers, just to Be! or we shall become confused, perplexed, afraid and Jesus never wishes us to be any of these things, certainly never afraid.
Living Holy scripture is never an easy road, It not meant to be and that we are told also. I have found it can often be a very isolating journey but remember when you feel totally alone and you will, cos you will not be running with the masses, then just remember the gospels... Jesus never for one moment let his disciples out of His sight, O no, not even for one single second...Even when they were far out to sea in a most horrid storm, Yep! just like those ones we experience in our own lives...Thrown all over the place, not knowing what to do next...There, Jesus watched whilst in communion with His Father/our Father too, and quickly to His disciples He came to be right there cos He knew His disciples needed Him long before they did! No, don't ever think He is too far away to know what going on with you, because truly that is the old devil getting to you, trying to isolate you with his own reasoning! Just rebuke him in the name of Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he just hates that, and cannot stand! Our Jesus is always right there and even just loves to Be! Yep!, Jesus, our Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit too, you are so full up of Heaven, Wow! your flowing over. Its really true because Jesus tells us, right there in Holy Scripture too!.."Father,the love with which You have loved ME may be in them and so that I may be in them"...(John.17.v 26).
Wow, what a truly awesome life we have been given...Thank you Jesus we just love you to bits. Lovingly Me, your little princess xxx

Peace:

My soul, there is a country
Far beyond the stars,
Where stands a winged sentry
all skilful in the wars...
There above the noise and danger
Sweet peace sits crowned with smiles.
One born in a manger
Commands the beateous files,
He is thy gracious friend,
And (O my soul awaken!)
Did in pure love descend
To die here for thy sake.
If thou canst get but thither,
There grows the flower of Peace
The Rose that cannot wither,
Thy fortress and thy ease...
Leave then thy foolish ranges
For none can thee secure,
But one, who never changes,
Thy God, thy life, thy cure.
(Henry Vaughan)
